A Japanese Artist Decided To Send Plants Into Outer Space. The Pictures That Were Captured Will Leave You Speechless.

JP Aerospace is an American volunteer-based organization that builds and sends objects into space. Without their help, these pictures wouldn’t have been taken. The whole idea of sending plants into space can be attributed to a Japanese artist by the name Azuma Makoto. He was then able to capture the most surreal pictures of the plants in space.

There were two devices which were sent into the stratosphere. They were  launched from a launch site in Nevada. Each device had about six GoPro cameras attached to it. One device had a 50-year-old pine bonsai tree that came from Tokyo while the other device had an assortment of the most colorful flowers from around the world. Reaching an altitude of up to 91,800 feet was the bonsai tree. Upon reaching that altitude, the helium balloon that was carrying the bonsai tree bursted while the bouquet of flowers reached around 87,000 feet.
