Adorable Stray Cats Overrun Tashirojima Island

2 years ago by in Travel

There is a Japanese island called Tashirojima that has about 100 residents living in. Around the 1950s, the human population was a lot closer to being 1,000. Most of the residents had cats as their house pets. While the human population started to decrease, their pets still continued to live on. The residents who are left on the island found themselves being overrun with adorable cats and kitties.

Another island called Aoshima is also overrun with adorable cats. The island only has 15 residents. The good thing is veterinarians visit the island to give the cats and kitties a checkup.
