Disney fans will be happy to find out that the Walt Disney Co Japan will stage, for the first time in Japan, a special expo dedicated to them. The event, called D23 Expo Japan, will be held between October 12 and October 14, at the Tokyo Disney Resort in the Maihama area.

D23 Expo Japan will feature movies, music, theme parks and interactive gaming, while fans will be able to buy one-of-a-kind merchandise or collectibles and to meet many of their favorite Disney characters, according to the Japanese press.

More details about the tickets and the program of the event will be announced this month.

D23 Expo Japan will also include two exhibitions dedicated do Disney’s milestones. The first one will celebrate 90 years since The Walt Disney Co started its activity, while the second one will celebrate the anniversary of 30 years since Tokyo Disney Resort, a theme park and vacation resort located in Urayasu, Chiba, was opened.

“We are thrilled to host this extraordinary, three-day event where all the wonderful worlds of Disney come together,” said Paul Candland, president of The Walt Disney Co Japan. “The D23 Expo Japan allows us to show Disney’s tremendous appreciation to its fans,” he added.
