iPhone 5, the next generation model of the popular gadget made by Apple could be launched in the coming months industry analysts say, citing information from a Japanese blog saying that the phone has already entered production.
The Macotakara blog is quoted by several publications specialized on Apple and its products. The blog writes that the back of the new iPhone contains glass and aluminum. “In the area where aluminum is not used, there is glass,” Macotakara writes. The information is particularly interesting, as previous reports on the next iPhone were saying that it will have an all-aluminum back, like Apple’s iPad.
The most interesting feature of the next iPhone, already widely reported, is a larger, 4-inch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Previous models featured 3.5-inch displays, with a 3:2 aspect ratio. According to previous information, Apple’s suppliers in Japan and South Korea received orders from the U.S.-based maker of the iPhone for the new, larger display to be installed in the future version of the gadget. “Not only do users pay for features, but they also pay for aesthetics and design. That’s as important, or more important, than features,” commented an analyst. “People love the current design — but it’s 18 months old.”
