There have been numerous pictures on social media of a Sphinx covered in snow. The truth is… they’re fake. The pictures of what looks like snow covering the Sphinx is actually a miniature model that is in a theme park in Japan called Tobu World Square.

The pictures first appeared right after it started snowing in Cairo.

But, the photos are actually those of a miniature model of the Sphinx that is on display at the Tobu World Square.

The Sphinx is not the only replica in the theme park. There are also replicas of the Egyptian pyramids, Narita Airport, and even Versailles.
