Japanese media giant Sony is not the only one seeking to make a movie about the life of Apple’s founder, Steve Jobs. A new project with American star Ashton Kutcher in the leading role has just been announced.
While Sony’s production is based on the official and authorized biography of Steve Jobs, written by Walter Isaacson and published last October immediately after Jobs’ death, the new project starring Kutcher in the role of the computer genius is independent.
It has however already received appreciation from Steve Wozniak, the former partner of Steve Jobs, who thinks Kutcher will do an amazing role.
The new movie, to be called “Jobs”, is based on a script by Matt Whiteley and will be directed by Joshua Michael Stern.
Production is expected to start next month, when Kutcher will take a break from the famous TV-sitcom “Two and a Half Men”, which he recently joined to replace Charlie Sheen in a leading role.
