Tokyo Park Life: Inokashira Koen

10 years ago by in Travel

During the spring and summer seasons, I find myself visiting the three following parks: Showa Kinen, Inokashira, and Yoyogi. Of the three, Inokashira offers the most variety for those into photography. For example, last weekend I stumbled across a rather unusual band – The Neapolitan Cafe Trio – composed of an accordion, a washboard, and a wood bass. Here is their last number of the day.

A little more about Inokashira from Wikipedia:

The park has a petting zoo and a small aquarium, and is a place where vendors, musicians, artists and street performers gather. The park is bustling with crowds who arrive to take in the lively environment on weekends and holidays, especially during the cherry blossom season when the entire park is overrun with visitors for hanami.
