The Yasukuni War Shrine located in Tokyo. It was built to show respect to those who died in the Japan war.
The two Asian countries, China and Japan, have been fighting and using Harry Potter references over the war shrine located in Tokyo.
But, since the 1970s, the Japanese government has been criticized by three different countries. The countries are China, South Korea, and Taiwan. They criticized the Japanese government for using the shrine to be revisionist regarding World War II.
It was a difficult move for Shinzo Abe, the Japanese Prime Minister to visit it.
China’s ambassador wrote in The Telegraph to the United Kingdom as quoted: “If militarism is like the haunting Voldemort of Japan, the Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo is a kind of horcrux, representing the darkest parts of that nation’s soul.”
In response to what China’s ambassador said, the Japanese ambassador said that China plays “the role of Voldemort in the region by letting loose the evil of an arms race and escalation of tensions.”
Ouch. I wonder how China feels about what Japan said?
